Tiff first fell in love with the natural world as a child. Adventuring deep into the Canadian wilderness on canoe trips each summer, grew her wild love and curiosity for the Earth, leading her to pursue sciences, studying Oceanography, Geology and an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences.

With a MA in Environmental Education, Tiff has been sharing her love for the Earth through teaching ecological & sustainability education for over 15 years. She began working in outreach education for schools with environmental organisations in Canada and Australia. She worked at CERES Community Environment Park in Melbourne for nearly a decade, in various education roles, including being a Sustainability Facilitator in the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative (AuSSI) helping to embed sustainability into school culture.

After starting a young family, she began working as a School Garden Teacher in Melbourne and then in Northern Rivers. She currently works as a Nature Learning Guide in the Onland Learning Program at the Living School in Lismore.

Inspired by her years of teaching, Tiff has also recently become an Author, working collaboratively with esteemed children’s author Zanni Louise on the picture book WONDER EARTH. Tiff is very excited to be using this beautiful book as a rich educational resource to run Ecoliteracy Workshops, bringing her knowledge and love for the Earth to schools.

Since becoming an author, Tiff has run creative writing workshops in schools with the Byron Writers Festival StoryBoard Program, and also took part in the Sidestep Kids Festival presented by Roundabout Theatre, running a Nature-Storytelling workshop.

Tiff brings a unique upbeat approach in her teaching, offering a rich learning experience as both an environmental author and expert educator. Using the power of storytelling and role play as a rich platform for wholistic full-body learning, minds and hearts are activated as the learning takes life through the story and props. Tiff is passionate about joining art with science for the students to be awakened to Nature’s deep beauty and wisdom.

Tiff is based in the Northern Rivers region of NSW on Bundjalung land and the home of 40 million year old ancient Rainforest. She is available to travel for school visits and events.
